In this challenge, clean out the milk carton and cut off the top and bottom.

The Science Behind It ๐Ÿ”ฌ

A periscope works using the law of reflection: light bounces off a mirror at the same angle it hits it. The top mirror catches light from above and reflects it downward to the second mirror, which reflects it into your eyes. Submarines use periscopes to see above water while staying submerged. The 45-degree angle is crucial because it redirects light exactly 90 degrees, allowing you to see around corners or over obstacles!
